Water and Sewer

The City of Madison’s water treatment plant has a filtration capacity of 7.2 million gallons per day (MGD), while the current demand is only 3.0 MGD. The City’s sewage treatment plant has a design capacity of 5.4 MGD, more than sufficient to handle daily wastewater flows of approximately 3.0 MGD
